Who are we

Shine A Light is a speech contest built for students who are ready to stand up, speak clearly, and share ideas that matter.

Established in 2020, the Shine a Light platform encourages young Chinese Americans to understand, care, and engage in community service and cultivating communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

We are a team of volunteers who are passionate about helping students grow and succeed.

What to expect

Each season brings together students, coaches, and judges around a shared celebration of voice and preparation. Participants receive clear expectations, feedback grounded in respect, and recognition for both courage and craft.
